Friday afternoon after arriving from work with a new battery for the s2.
I fitted the battery, started it and there was a big plume of blue smoke. Not just a little puff as if the valve seals were knackered but clouds of it
Its been smoking for a while now and its only done 400 miles since the rebuild so i thought it was time to get to the bottom of things.
Anyhow knowing there was something amiss i removed the head to inspect things. When i pulled out the head bolts i found what can only be discribed as a metally paste on the shank of the bolt
Anyway i pulled off the head to inspect. The head and the valves look ok, a bit black cause its running rich as i was running it in but nothing unusual.
Then i decided to measure the wear in the bores as there was a bit of piston slap lmao (at this point i lost the plot and laughed rather than taking number 3 hammer to the![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

No1 = Top to bottom 80.2 mm
Side to side 80.25 mm
No2 = Top to bottom 80.5 mm
Side to side 80.3 mm
No3 = Top to bottom 80.6 mm
Side to side 80.1 mm
No4 = Top to bottom 80.2 mm
Side to side 80.25 mm
N.B No1 = water pump end
Is this bad? They are Acrolite pistons so i dont know if there should be play or not. What do you think guys?
Any help would be great as im at my wits end at the moment
:cheers:

must be the turbo because i would of thought if oil was geting in the cylenders one way or another the plugs would be oil soaked by the amount of smoke
