Just wanted to say thanks for your help at the weekend, you've saved my car and probably my life. Cheers honey.
No more petrol leaks!!!!
I got the new petrol cap from ford and fitted it immediately and changed the hose. Touch wood everything's been ok and no more pressure release when i open the cap.
You are a star and it's nice to know that people on here really do look out for each other and share experiences that lead to the solutions to problems. My mate who is a ford mechanic didn't even guess it could have been the cap!!!! He just kept telling me to change the hose. It's worrying.

Only did what everyone else would have, as I have first hand experience on the subject I knew what the problem would be It just goes to show all these after market petrol caps mite look good ( ) But they usually don't do your car any good, stick to the standard item the car was intended for.
