lol, they're slow, smelly and noisey but do seem to last well and be fairly reliable.

they are great cars and they are the best FWD Ford has done to this day

I rate all the focus's , I had a WRC TDI estate (90bhp) on track with the slicks on it and it wasn't that slow belive you me it passed a few hi spec Rsturbos modded ones

i was out most of the day @ bedford (open pit )giving it loads of abuse and nothing happend it

I only came in the pits a coulpe of time because my arms were killing me

i never drove a car so long on a track for in all my life

here a pic of the beast

great cars

Have you ever driven one? I've had mine five years last month from new. It's done 29k miles now. Will hold a ton all day long, still giving 30 mpg, and you CANNOT hear the engine at this speed, just road noise. 65-70mpg returns approx 55mpg.

they are very good cars i don't know how people can slag them

the standard tdi estate handles very well so i can imgine what the Rs Focus must handle like

I love to try a Rs focus around a track i recon they would be very quick cars

you know for what it was a bog standard 90bhp it was ok and it wasn't the slowest car theere but slicks did help

ok it wasn't fast but i could hold the speeds thought the bends because of the slicks and thats what made it good fun to drive and the way the car handled

i thrasted it all day and drove it home that night used only 1/2 tank of fuel allday

what more could i ask from a car

mines Panther Black, cream leather and wood, League black widow 7.5 x 17 with 215/40 tyres and I fooking love it. Sheady recons it's shit hot, the quietest diesel he's been in Mine handles better than my Saff Just wish it had the same sort of acceleration

There great cars...My dad had a W reg one and it

A) Wasnt slow (Not as fast as the tdci obviously but defo not slow
B) Was excellent on the diesel (60MPG easy)
C) Didnt really sound too bad

In 4th and 5th gear they do actually pick up speed and have a lot of pull... (More than a 1.6 petrol)

I would have one over a TDCi anyway Less problems and more MPG (We've owned both)

yes i have driven one and that how i rate it as above!

yes the focus handles well we all know that but imho that early diesel engine is lame when compared to diesels from the same time, 306 hdi, xsara hdi, golf 90 tdi.

it may well do 60mpg, i've not had the misfortune to drive one long enough
