What thickness is that CR based on?

Personally i would look at upping the CR and getting it remapped if it was me a T3 doesnt to go as low as 7.1 compression on a decent RST motor

Stage 3 4x4? This means that the exhaust wheel has been cut back - something u defo DONT want. Also, what exhaust housing A/R is it? I'd also change the cam to a new std one, will make a big diff if you want the boost in lower.

.48 housing, big cam, big headwork, all the above is why the car has fuck all power below 4500.
Mainly the long duration cam.

7:1 wont make that worse, but sooooo not needed at that spec.

And a thicker head gasket will lower the comp even more.

No lol

But it is the most reliable gasket for a 1600.

As been said, alter your cam profile or turbo to reduce lag. A thicker gasket will lower compression ratio further.

THATS WHAT I MEAN SORRY IT ALL READY HAS THE THICKEST GASKET FITTED SO BY PUTTING A STANDARD THIN ONE ON A HIGHERING THE COMPESSION SURLY IT WOULD REDUSE THE LAG SLIGHTLY

it could just need a setup mate if its coming on boost but feeling flat this is what mine did and you get lag between gear changes have you got a vernier cam pulley this can be set up to reduce lag slightly or could be your actuator needs adjusting

SAYING THAT SOMETIMES WHEN IT COMES ON BOOST IT IS STUPIDLY FLAT AND I HAVE TO COME OF THE THROTTLE AND GO BACK ON TO MAKE IT GO ANYWHERE

CAN YOU STOP SHOUTING!

The compression ratio has a very marginal effect on when it comes on boost. First thing is to put a std cam in - that will make a big difference. Second, if it is a stage 3 4x4 turbo, it will have cut back exhasut wheel blades. Changing to a std wheel will also help it spool up quicker.
