I think the one on my car is on its last legs(when hot it starts on 3 cylinders with a little bit of white smoke then after 5 seconds it clears)its only been on a year,so can i sack it off and get a wrc one or do i have to fit another coopers ring one.

If you machine the 43 or so thou step off the block you can convert to WRC gasket but you will have to note the compression change accordingly & machine the pistons to suit. Did that on one of my old engines and it worked fine.

As Ian says...get them machined out if you use 7.2-1 pistons you get around 7.9-1 comp ratio.
Coppers are wank..LOL...i used a copy one and a genuine one on my old engine and both blew
