Understand your reasons Stu, however I do prefer 1 chaotic room
As you'll see in my comments on the other post in the non-car related room - Is this one car related ???

A pain in the ass switching pages but lets give it a try.
So far so good.
Can I suggest an additional room but I suspect it will be very quiet......
"General Discussion (FORD CARS ONLY RELATED)"
Only kidding

Legend
The 2 Forums set-up is much better.
I don't get to use the place as much or for as long as I used to be able to because it seemed GD was getting clogged up with posts turning into 5/6 pages of inane banter.
There's nothing wrong with inane banter, I am a big fan of it, but when there's 20 almost identical posts or 50 telling us what's on TV tonight? Pushing topics I'd rather read through onto page 2 in 5 minutes?
This way of doing it is FAR more user friendly especially for new users that don't have to sift through the various bitching sessions, reposted ebay links, "check out my mate in this picture next to his shed, doesn't he look funny" or videos of someone trying to go sideways/burnout/blow his engine up on a dyno?
Keep it split

I think its a great idea, as a newby it annoyed me by the speed the general forum moved, it was so easy to miss topics as u read down it as they are continuously rolling, i think it's loads better myself.
