went to buy a s2 came home empty handed
cant believe the day i've had went all the way to manchester today to buy an apparantly mint s2 got there after spendin an hour lost tryin to find it 
just to find it was the biggest mess i've ever seen there was about a two inch gap between the wing and bonnet there was oil leekin out of it, the sills were one big hole there were big chips every where and it had an xr3i bumper and the cheeky sod reckoned it was worth at least 1300 im gutted i dare say i'll find a decent one in the end

sadly mate, a lot about like that (not s2s in particular)
it annoyed me too travlling miles to look at a car, being told it was
good, only to find it was obviously a rusty pile

dont give in dude it will be worth it in the end. I must have been the luckest sod on the planet with mine, 1st car i looked at, very solid car, had to travel all of 5 miles to see it and was well priced to

i was expectin it to be a bit tatty but was hopin it was the engine to be lettin it down not everythin else never mind i cant wait to get one never owned a escort turbo before owned a fiesta turbo and that was lots of fun im hopin the escort will be the same

I can sympathise after driving all the way to Wales to view a "Mint" car with "200bhp". When I got there the car was a complete piece of shit with 11psi.

i new it wouldnt be mint, mint is bud-weis's old fiesta now that was mint i was expecting it to be very rough around the edges but resonably solid but not so wrecked i wouldnt let him give it me i am thinkin of goin to have a look at gingers's s2 anybody know if its a good one

why do people do it say its good condition when its a wreck if it was me sellin it i'd of put "needs full restoration hence price"

Si told me it was a dog mate, you can get lucky like Tonks did with his but it's rare, anything below £2k needs lots of pics before viewing ( ask for pics of rear arches, around sunroof, under windscreen etc.. )
