they're universally known as being superb in their sector but what do you want to know from people on a forum? go to a dealer and have a test drive to see if it suits you/her

My missus had one and i didn't rate it. Felt flimsy to me. She's got an ST170 now and its a far more sturdy/ robust car imo.

The Civic type R is the most over-rated and most un-impressive car i've driven.....Utter crap. And Japcrap at that.

I have also worked in the assembly plants at Honda Swindon and Ford Saarlouis and without a doubt the Ford is the better made car.

Had one as a free hire car when me company car was damaged, as it wasn't mine it got a proper 1200 mile test drive if u know what I mean.
Was a great fun little car, not super quick (but ive had 195bhp rst,278bhp scooby and 350bhp cos in the past) found the gearing to be a bit short sometimes like you could get caught out with the rev limiter when overtaking, seats were superb, goes round bends very well but feels exceptionally twitchy when you get rite on the limit, bites back hard.
You really have to kick the shite out of it to make it feel fast, i.e over 6000 revs. They revs pretty high even in sixth when doing motorway speeds (90!) so its a bit noisy, never did a motorway trip in it but can imagine u would want to stop every hour or so to give your ears a rest.

All round tho it was a top motor had a rite giggle in it down most roads, the only other downside was after 1200 miles it averaged.....................................19.9 M.P.G!!!!
Like I said tho it did get a proper test drive!
