st170 brake set up on a s1
brakes for series one
ive had a look at a few past threads regarding this,my rear brakes are massive compaired to the fronts which are standard size but grooved so time for a brake upgrade.ive read about the conversion and whats required ie 11mm spacers but has anybody got pics of the setup and how it goes on the car?
any prices to the conversion and also are speacial brake pipes req?ive got a set of goodridge hoses on at the moment.
also are there performance discs avaliable for the st170 groved etc and again prices.
thanks danny

14mm spacers are needed mate, as far as i know there are performance discs available but i don't know which ones or how much!
I can't get the brakes at the mo as i have changed jobs, but some may come up now and again!!

Not a great pic, but these are ST170's supplied by Gadget.
They are EBC Turbo Grooved discs as well (£170).
Standard S1/2 Goodridge hoses are fine.
There was an article in Performance Ford about 4 months ago on how to fit them.
Dead easy, simply open the hub holes up to 10mm i think.
Really good conversion.
