I'm not stupid and changed the turbo and actuator and valve stem sils on my fiesta turbo (under the supervision of my boyfriend at the time)

Now split with boyfriend and need to change the brake fluid master cylinder as it is leaking and also have a coolant/water leak.

Dont really want to throw loads of money away paying a garage to do the work, so i need a mechanic!!

I dont want to just give my car to someone and let them do it! I want to be involved, I want to learn and know what is going on with my car

So is anyone up to the challenge?? Obv we can negotiate payment etc!

To be honest. Just buy a Haynes book for the Escort mk4. Master cylinder is a bolt off, bolt on type job. Involved, but not impossible if you're a relative newbie to this. Just take your time, and don't cross thread anything. Oh and avoid getting brake fluid everywhere. Wear some gloves if you've got any. Bleeding may be harder as you'll need a suitable assitant.

Coolant leak, is just a case of gettting a torch and looking around the engine and hoses when the cars hot. See where its leaking. Though my guess would be heater matrix or Water pump (might need to take the upper belt cover off)

If your car is drivable and you want a garage to do it, i couldn't recommend highly enough the lads at Birkbeck Auto Repairs in Sidcup.

They come on this board quite a lot under the user name of B.A.R

Just took the turbo off to get serviced... new oil seals and bearing, just got myself mint bonnet, front/rear bumpers, kit... now need to look at the loss of compression on number 3
