can any body recommend a company than can convert a car to a convertible.taking of the normal steel roof and put a soft top on.

err i'd just buy a cabriolet shell, atleast it would be done right. Amogst being allot cheeper too.

What car is it mate ? If they made a ragtop version buy that !!!! Takes ALOT to convert a car to that as it's not just a case of cutting the top off, there's alot of structural work involved to strengthen the shell.

Jeremy Clarkson did it didnt he, made a mint job of it as well IIRC, the car lasted half a mile before it snapped in half

Aye it's not a bodyform ad mate, you can't just go out with your gal pal, stop off when you see a "hot" guy with a circular saw and get a quick job done then drive off into the sunset

Shit I remember that. Wasn't it an Espace? He looked funny as when he drove it after they tookt he roof off

That was awesome when the back end dropped off

Ive got an "aftermarket" convertable.

Its got quite a bit of strengthening in the shell, and it still flexes more than a standard car.
