Anyone noticed after all these years the mac tools man coming round again

We've had him at work for ages in cov but I know a few other places the reps just gave up

Yeah I heard they was a few up north, but in my area we haven't had one since 1997 down south lol :-(

Our macman is 100% reliable?Has been for the past 6 year.Comes every 2 weeks rain or shine.Snap on however is a different story.Had 6 different dealers in the same area over the past 12 years and the 1 we have now hasn't visited our workshop for over a year.

Although i still prefer the look and feel of snap on over mac.
Get most of my snap on tools now off ebay.

Well if he does disappear does that not mean u get a few free tools lol I know what you mean though it is a bit worrying

U know what mate u might have something there. I might order £1000s of tools and then tell him every week he should jack it in hah hah

I seen the Mac Tools man in Preston last week and i bought some stuff.

i did barter and got quite a bit off too

Yeah I'm thinking about getting prices from both now before I buy it. We got 3 toolmen, snap on, cornwell tools and mac. Getting a bit expensive every week :-(

Our has re appeared, we bought a few bits, hit him for a load of warranty stuff, then didn't buy so much and he has stopped coming in again.

Gotta say the prices on the flyers are absolutely ridiculous.

Christchurch Dorset?

I pretty much grew up in Highcliffe, bet it's changed a lot?!

Went back that way a few years ago, from Wareham, through to Bournemouth via Poole. There seemed to be plenty of Main Dealers that way, plus I dealt with a few Ferrari specialists in the past down there, I would of thought there'd be rich pickings on a quite small radius for Snap On, MAC etc....

Mac tools cracks me up new man comes round you buy a load of stuff they realise it's a crap job sell up or go under and you get the stuff for free lol
It's happened twice in a row now in the Basingstoke area

i gave on of my snap on ratchet to the snap on man who goes to a place a subby for and still havnt got it back yet after 2 months he seems to have disappeared

Yeah I work in xchurch but live in bmth again now. We had a mac man when I started my Apprentaship in 1996 then he jacked it in in 1997. Though all the mechanics I know are now flooding him with all the broken stuff they bought back in the day lol.
