You can spend thousands on tools over the years! I daren't add up what I've spent with my Snap-On dealer over the years!

Remember keep all receipts because even if your on the cards you can claim some tax back for your tools

If you're in college or in the trade then you can get a Halfords Trade Card for free, it'll give you about 30% discount on tools and a shed load off parts and oil. Well worth it.

Good lad, new tools are great.
it doesn't matter where they come from or the cost, it's a great feeling when you can tackle a job you couldn't before.

i've not gotten into the snap on route, plenty of halfords pro, teng and sp though, it is expensive, just get a good range of things then replace with better quality as you start to earn more.

Halfrauds trade card is hit and miss. Some things are dirt cheap, others not worth the hassle.

I find it funny how the industry is trying to lower wages yet expects a mechanic who might be on near minimum wage to buy thier own tools so factoring in tool costs your working for well under minimum wage.

My mate had snap on, they started to repair not replace, so went to MAC cost him a fortune now bought halfrauds tool kit the £100 set has pretty much everything you need and is bloody good quality life time replacement apparently. His ratchet broke so they gave him the replacement internal repair kit, but apart from that pretty good

Nice looking set, make sure you get some security sorted, nowt worse than spending a load of money on tools for some quick fingered git to take them off you.
