it doesn't matter where they come from or the cost, it's a great feeling when you can tackle a job you couldn't before.
i've not gotten into the snap on route, plenty of halfords pro, teng and sp though, it is expensive, just get a good range of things then replace with better quality as you start to earn more.

My mate had snap on, they started to repair not replace, so went to MAC cost him a fortune now bought halfrauds tool kit the £100 set has pretty much everything you need and is bloody good quality life time replacement apparently. His ratchet broke so they gave him the replacement internal repair kit, but apart from that pretty good
They put a lot of tools in a kit for the money and really good quality!
