It´s some big boxes on here, i´m wondering:
Is those size toolboxes normal in auto repair shops over there?
And do you buy them or do the workplace cover the tools?
Reason is that i work as a mechanic in norway, and none of the tools boxes where i work or have worked are anywhere near that size.
And do you really need all those tools?
I got one of this:

Just looking through the thread again ... Some mint boxes but!
Have you big box guys got enough tools to fill them?
Just been itemizing my kit for air freight abroad and got nowhere near enough to fill a big KLR twin / triple bank set, even when I rolled with inch drive gear.

Like the top nice idea
. Whats it made of? Makes a nice change from the normal wood plus the normal tops are very soft I found

Its granite, much harder than wood, will scratch in time but can be repolished.
To answer the other question, my toolbox is full/over full. And so are the others. You can fit 20 spanners in a small top box draw, but to do it neatly you need a roll cab draw. Same with pliers etc etc.
