Hello lads, got a mk4 xr3i, and the fuel relay is being intermitent!! Turn the ignition on and no fuel pump, have wiggled the fuel relay etc and thats got me out of trouble!! Just went to pop up the cafe and nothing, have been under there trying for ages and nothing!!

Is there a way to bodge it til the weekend when i can get a new relay???

run a wire from bateery to fuel pump ? with a wee switch

Or just bypass the relay as a temp measure, excess fuel will just return to tank through return while ignition is on, pump runs continuously anyway with engine running.
