Alright folks, new to the forum. I have a little project in mind and just looking for any info etc from the pro's like yourselfs!
Here it is, let me know what yous think or any suggestions... I'll list them in steps:
1. Getting a Sierra Sapphire 1.8 tomorrow
2. Going to do a cheap ass turbo on it (just for kicks until the engine goes)
2.1. Strip the interior out (weight saving)
3. Buying Cosworth bumpers, skirts, spoiler etc.. get it fitted
4. Set of Spax (or similar) shocks and lowering springs
5. Change rear axle to convert to disks not drums (saffi's come with drums?)
6. Set of 14" alloys
7. Buy an old 4x4 2.8i/2.9i V6 Sierra
8. Transplant the V6 into the sapphire
9. Twin Turbo the newly fitted V6
i've been advised that it may be difficult to fit the 4x4 tranny in with the turbo's, so any info on what the best tranny would be to keep it RWD?
All in all should be an easy and cheap enough task. And i think it'll be pretty mint once it's all done, too.
What do you's think? all yous Ford people will know better than i will at the moment and could give me pointers etc. etc.

no problem. Well i'm looking for a good project to carry me over the next year or so (probably longer).
It's just something i want to do, and do it bit by bit. I'll have a wee look on the turbo technics side of things.. probably provide some good info.
cheers.
