Default repairing leather recaro's and cleaning them

hi, since i have recently found out that a set of decent leather front recaro's for my saph would be around £500, i am considering repairing the current ones, its only the drivers side arm bolster thats knackered really, could i just get that bit repaired, or would it then stand out like a sore thumb, next to the rest of the seat? any advice or tips on how to do it or who could do it much appreciated

is it a specialist job or could any trimmer do it?

last but not least, is there a good leather seat cleaning product about to get them looking new again?

cheers

Hi Bill,
I have the same problem as you with the drivers seat and have not managed to find a auto trimmer who can match the colour properly, the search continues.......
As regards to keeping the leather in good condition I use "Connolly Hyde Food" and have found this to be about the best, not cheap but very effective.

If you want the leather to be protected and keeping them soft is leather saddle protector. Pick this up from all equestrian (spelling) shops, keeps it soft and shiney making it look brand new.

Bill, there is a place in Southport, Lancs, that did mine a year ago, and the job was amazing and not to expensive, about £200 for both front seats and he deep cleaned there rears for free. Perfect solour match too. Not sure if he is still going, "Kew Trimmers on Cemetry Rd, Southport" try director enquires for his number.

Bill, Ive been told today the guy is still in business, i can get number for you this week. He replaced the drivers bolster, and leather on bolsters. Also replaced on worn bolsters on passenger seat. Full clean then re-painted any small cracks in. I thought it would wear quickly but they still look and feel as mint as ever. When I got them back, the look almost brand new.
