17" x 7.5" rims on Saff - What tyre size?
I want correct MPH and Odometer readings, so I need a diameter similar to the original 15" wheels with 205/50/15 tyres.
Yep I bought Wazim's 17" x 7.5" rims, he used 235/35/17 tyres - is this the best bet to go for? Or what are similar alternatives???
Help needed ASAP please as I want these on my Sapphire as soon as I can

235/30-17 would make your speedo .6% off so if you were going 60mph you would actually be going 60.3
205/40-17 would make your speedo 1.7% off so if you were going 60mph you would actually be going 61

A 205/35-17 would also work well and apear slightly slimmer. 60 would be 58.9mph
hope that helps. I would use the 205's for the front and the 235 in back. all depends on how low your car is and what offset the rims are.

i've got 205/40-17 yoko a539s on the front of my saph and 215/40-17 on the back,rub on the front but thats due to the shocks being worn i think! no probs on the back even with a full load!

Any recommendations on tyre brand?? I'm most interested in mega dry weather performance, couldn't give a crap about wet performance or tyre life.

Running those (215/40-17) on my 7,5x17 wheels....very good grip.
If you need more grip, I guess you'll need semi-slicks or so....

So anyway, my mechanic went and put on 215/45 
They are rubbing at the front, can I fix this by rolling the arches d'ya think?

I like Michlins, however they can be kinda spensive. second choice would be Toyo Proxies. mmmmmm
wow 215's on the front! geesh. where do they rub in the front? might be able to get the fenders rolled to help that. they could also be rubbing on the front shocks.
i ran 225's on all 4 but I was also running 15's in a low profile.

Dave - I dont think its the width mate, i think its the profile of the tyre thats the problme.
Although mine were 225 (not 235 like i said earlier, DOH!) my profile was only 35mm.
My cars also lowered on Koni shocks and springs and it wasnt even catching on full lock so i dont think the width has anything to do with it mate. Get a lower profile tyre.
