Default removing escort cossie gear knob??

hi peeps
bought a new gear gaitor from ford for my 4b4 saph
having trouble removing the escort cosworth gear knob thats fitted to my car any easy ways to remove it???

Mines come off during rapid harsh gearchanges a few times

I sacked the standard Shifter for a B+M Shortshift...

was money well spent Plus the knob don't get ripped off now

I've to try and get mine off later,got new gaiter,surround and escos gearknob to fit.

ah that's nice

I've got an Quaife quickshift with an Escos gearknob , it works fine too
