OK... I am down to 6 wires on the Saphire 4WD Cossie loom to hook up to the XR (1993) 2.0 main loom.

Green - Looks like its the ignition coil
Brown / Green - A sensor ?
Brown / White - A sensor ?
Black -
Red / Blue
Black / Red

Problem is that there are 4 multiplugs on the XR loom, A16, A6, A11 and smaller A16. Not sure which of these to use as some of the colours are duplicated.

Any suggestions....

hi there
green = coil / rev counter
brown / green = loads of sensors but if these wires come sort of down the batry side i would go for amal valve
brown and white = water temp sensor for clocks
black = coil
red / blue = batry +
black/ red = amal valve
if you can tell me what pin numbers they go back to on the ecu plug i can tell you

I have chased these wires down the cossie loom... this is what I have found.. I think. If you can confirm these it would be pure magic.

Brown / Green - Oil Pressure gauge
Brown / White - Water Temperature Gauge

Black / Red (Thin) - Fuel pump
Blue / Red ... becomes red ...
Black.... becomes... black / yellow ... goes to alarm unit, pin 16.
Green - Coil / Tachometer

Also need to remember to put on
Blue - Battery charging warning light
Red from alternator to battery

Thick Black / Red from battery to starter motor
