using tranny oil cooler in radiator for engine oil
hey there,
so i need to get a new radiator for my '91 2.0 DOHC (nope, not a Cossie). I'm not sure this has been done before but i couldn't find anything useful on this.
It may sound like a stupid question but has anyone tried using the (automatic) transmission oil cooler inside the stock radiator to cool engine oil? Maybe the Cossie radiators don't have this but maybe someone running a V6 or D/OHC engine that have these radiators (or options at least, because these cars were available with an automatic) has done/heard about this?
Just an idea...if this is a harebrained idea, i'll just get a little cheaper radiator without the automatic trans cooler in it Mine is an MT anyways.
Yes I do track the car and also have plans and parts for turboing it.
Thanks for any and all input!
