was having start up issues, now car wont start up atall
hope some one can point me in the right direction a little
Went to castle combe today, car running all okay apart form the fact it needed to be jump started a few times - i put this down the the battery being dead as the car has sat and only really idle's as its not insured (since brands 6 months ago where it ran faultless all day)
managed to get the car all through sound check drove around the pits a little here and there and then the car died
literatly for love no money couldnt get it started since
the fuel pump was starting up with the ignition switch - so ECU is getting power
i used a large flat screw driver resting on a injector as we cranked it and i could hear the injector clicking away - so im getting fuel and i think the crank sensor should be working as they wouldnt operate if the ecu wasnt reading from the crank - im not sure about the phase sensor though ? ( i need to / will check this again tomorrow)
confirmed there was no spark, bought a brand new bosch coil at the track and this didnt help. So ordered a ignition amplifier as 12v wasnt getting to the coil, and picked this up at 3. Fitted it and still nothing.
so im a little lost really, ive already spent a small fortune on parts with no result. Does this sound like it could be the phase sensor ? i have recently changed the ECU and really hope this isnt the cause of the issues.
Cheers

Yes I tried the king lead and ht leads
I was only getting 0.5v or so at the coil (which made us think it was maby the ignition amplifier)

From the positive side if the coil to an earth, and from the negative side to an earth
Just double checked the injectors are definatly firing
The ignition amp is getting 12v to the center pin

I just put 12v to the coil and it ran, gutted I didn't do this yesterday but anyway, does this mean it's a wiring issue ?
Edit, I have been checking contunintiy to the phase sensor, and it was unplugged when the car just started! I plugged it in and the revs blipped and it continued to run. I'm pretty confused
