cam cover leaks! H E L P !
Hello!today i have a total rebuild on the engine on my sapphire cosworth 4x4 and i have some leaks which comes from a little hole between the camsaft pulleys.
Any idea?

yes im sure thats an overflow if your gasket leaks and fills up the chamber where your spark plugs are , so you will need to check the gasket is seated ok in that area by taking off the cam cover and having a look !

There shouldn't be oil coming out of there mate that's the chamber where your spark plugs are located , the gasket must be leaking bad ! When you put the gasket on add a little grease on the paper gasket on both sides and make sure you torque the cam cover properly.

When you take off the cam cover, clean off the bottom where the gasket goes and check it with a straight edge. I suspect it may be slightly warped which can be caused by uneven or over tightening when it was put on. If it is take it to a machine shop and they can mill it down so its perfectly flat again. Fit a new gasket and tighten it down in the correct order with a torque wrench and you should have no more oil leak. Good luck.

The tightening sequence is important, like a head.
The cometic gasket is very nice to this.
And did you put a little bit of sealant in the corner next to the cam shaft bearing seal
