Default 3dr loom

Hi, I'm just in the procees in fitting a new loom to my 3dr and have come across a few plugs which I'm not sure where they go if anyone can help.
Also are the 2wd sapphire and 3dr engine looms different as I have a 2wd one and its about a foot too short to plug into the car loom.
First are these black and black/blue do they just plug together and where does the brown/ yellow one from the engine loom plug go?

These big blocks what are they for and are they needed and what goes into the other plugs that are near by?

And this white plug down by the heater blower switch

Thanks karl

I reconise both but cant think where they go, if you look at the back of switches they sould only fit one switch or conector

I don't think they do as the light is already in the loom and the cigarette lighter is a female push on connector which I have already plugged in??

No no yet mate, I've been on holiday but need to get it done.
I've ordered some ecu's for the big plugs but still stuck on the others and need to lengthen the engine loom as its off a 2wd sapphire but its about a foot too short.

Really want to get this sorted now as its close to being finished if anyone can help please.
I'm trying to find out which wires go to which on this engine loom to car loom as when plugged together they don't match up??
It's a 3dr car loom with 2wd sapphire engine loom.

On the engine loom starting top left they are
Black/red, red/blue, empty
Black, empty, brown/white
Empty, empty, green and on the car loom
Brow/yellow with the same agin but with spade plug, black, empty
Yellow, black/green, empty
Black, red/blue, empty
Can anyone tell me which go to which please

on the engine loom you have:

red-blue battery live (+)
black-red fuel pump
brown-white temperature gauge
green tachometer
black should be positive (+) when you turn the ignition on

I do not know what the car loom colours mean, but since its the same period I would assume the red blue is battery live, black is ignition and I have no idea what the others are.

Disconnect the plug, and seach the car loom and the plug for the other ends with a multimeter.

You should probably start with the battery + terminal, (do not use a battery)to see if the red blue is live, then turn the key on and check the black is ignition on

look at the other end of the loom for the fuel pump connections and see if you can find it at the plug. similarly look for the tacho and temp wires at the dials and trace them back, if they are there

Finally, just by the size of the wires, I would bet the plug needs re arranging

anyway best of luck, and if you cannot locate the lives, or are not 100% sure of the lines, do not put a battery on with the ecu, as it could easily go

I'm surprised no one has came across this problem before
Anyhow now I have established which wires do what on the engine loom I think I'm just going to ignore the plug and wire it to the car loom direct as I know which wire is live, switched live, fuel pump, tacho and water temp gauge but was hoping it would be plug and play
Thanks for your help guys
