Something really wrong there.I used my sapph on greens for 2 years as a daily. It was absolutely mint on fuel.Probably one of the best out of the 60 odd cars I have owned petrol wise.
£40-£50 every two weeks.
Ok giving it beans you would use that that in one night but fuck 16 mpg
I could fill mine up and go from S-O-T down to my mums in south Devon on a smidge over half a tank.Thats a distance of 225 miles it wasnt closed loop and to my knowledge it hadnt been live mapped and the bloody thing was used as a track car when I got it

So the chip doesn't work with your engine spec, or is incorrectly set up to work properly.

Who declared the fuelling correct and the car ready for use? As it obviously isn't,

What is the cruise fuelling like on the old chip and the new one?

People are far to quick to assume the chip is crap and doesn't work where in reality it's generally set up issues or spec issues that cause the problems. And IF the chip doesn't work correctly who's at fault? In my opinion it would be the person that fitted it, evaluated it, and said yes its fine mate take her away.
If there was a problem with the chip when it was fitted these issues should have been fixed and if needed the chip sent back to whoever wrote it for adjustments to be made.
