Many thanks for the reply, the head unit and amp wires are part of a much bigger loom that feeds the dash area and beyond. What tends to happen a lot is people go for aftermarket head units and cut off the standard connectors and attach the connectors required for the after market units rather than trying to source a converter lead. My plan is to acquire just the standard connectors or a full loom (cut off the connectors) and attach them to the head unit and amp wires.

The amp needs a special lead to connect to the head unit (the circular connector on the back) You can get away with using spade connectors for the amp/headunit power. The 8 connections beside the two large spades on the amp are for the speaker outputs, again they have special connections, but IIRC they are just spade connectors.

That plug is wrong though? If you look at the connections on the headunit, you can see they don't match the plug pictured.
Checked my spares there (from a 4x4 Sapphire) but the plug is different on that too

If you compare the 3 small pins to the studs on the amp, you can see that one is in the wrong place. On my Sapphire one it uses all 3 small pins for some reason, one is grey and yellow which is usually illumination.
