can a L6 chip work in L1 ecu?

NO. I assume that you mean the Eprom by chip and by work you mean the engine runs.

i've got a chip in my 3dr for 803`s and 3bar that was still running t3 turbo,now changed to t35 turbo and i have a couple of chips for l6 ecu to run t34,3bar and 803`s,was wondering if the chips were interchangable between L1 and L6 ecu`s.to be honest i didnt think they were but thought i would ask the question....cheers stuart

No, the electronics of the ECU's are different.
