Default Ford sierra 1.6 hydraulic steering

my sierra doesn't have....how can i install one?
it was only produced with air-conditioning!
basically my problem is how can i fit the hydraylic bump!the other compartments should be fitted easily!
i think i could fit it there where the compresser of the a/c was supposed to be but how?
thanks!

I am not one for PS personally, but all you need is an assisted rack and a pump along with the pipework etc, being it's a Pinto engine, the pump should fix in the same way it would on it's larger brother, I should think.

cos 4*4 you mean to use the electric pump from corsa?i had thought that too but there are many that say that it will not be good because the steering will be very light at high velocities...do we know if sierra hydr.steering becames heavier at high speeds?because i think that opels and corsa have this function but i am not sure...if anyone knows could help very much...becaise if the feel of the steering isnt adjusted neither to sierra nor to corsa i could take the electric pump from corsa...sorry for my poor english i hope i made myself undersood...
Martin i think it doest fit...

I don't know for sure but I don't see why it won't, but PS was available on high spec models, i.e. 2L Ghia, so in theory I don't see why you can't change the rack and fit the pump etc.

Unless the 1600 does not have the provision to mount the pump of course?

No the OE setup does not become lighter at higher speeds, it's a basic system.
