Default 16th September 2004 - now a distant memory

Seven years ago today on my 59th Birthday my MAD Sierra became the Worlds fastest. It was Marks day though as i only managed a paltry 198.5mph on my first ever Topspeed run not a bad debut though. I had to wait till April 2005 to join the exclusive 200mph club.
Topspeed running seems to be finished & of limited interest now & since Martin reached 200mph its died a death.
I remember it not sinking in till later that night when i rang Mark & said " f*ck me weve done it" also getting flashed to stop on the A43 whilst driving home for someone to congratulate me even though i didnt know him, the wonders of the Internet .
Thanks for the support from so many & i hold no grudge against the knockers. I hope that at some point others will try to push the boundaries its time that record was beaten.
If my car did it others can, lets see some of the big horse cars at Vmax putting a Ford amongst the Supercars .

Bit before my time rod whats the cosworth record at the moment then?

Do you think you will ever run your latest spec rod to see what it can pull, it would be great to see it do a proper top speed! (not that low 200s isn't proper )
