who uses their saph cossie everyday?
when i first got my saph i used it everyday for 8 months and only prob was rad and headgasket going and numerous o/s/f driveshafts (engine mounts) i really enjoyed using it and the looks and feeling i got. there was no theft attempts parked in a bad area on the rd too! since i been laying it up for weeks on end without using it in the garage ive had a theft attempt, but the worst being a mouse got in and tried chewing wiring!! plus now everytime i take it out things seem to go wrong, when using it everyday there was no surprises. im not worried about fuel consumption using it everyday just wear and tear, but seems to be worse when i lay it up!! it seems to me these cars need to be driven. the only thing is before this car ive never had a second car before ive just had one car and just driven it everyday. anyhow was just wondering if anyone else uses theirs everyday?? cheers, gary

I do and I love it shame I'm selling it tho due to rising bills a little boy the mrs on maternity and another bun in the oven all that on top of a low wage isn't very good for filling it up every week but I do love driving it all the time and people waving and asking questions etc there's also a white one round this way I've seen 3-4 times in the last 2 weeks

yeah fair points chaps fuel is getting way too expensive. though mine only uses Ł5 a day to go to work and back so aint all bad. and i only work 5 days a week but i like to use it all weekend too so lots of use. only reason i started this thread is to convince myself to start using it again lol! the missis is close to passing her driving test so she will need her car back so save buying and insuring another car really. not 100% sure though still lol

I use mine everyday too and use it on a weekend every now and then.
Theres no point in having it if it doesnt get used.Things are gonna start to go wrong cause there old.Ive spent a fair bit on mine this year. Its only money and you cant take it with you when your gone.
I dont use mine in the winter cause of the shite weather.

I've only had my Cossie for few months and I've used it daily. Its Stage 2 so its fast and practical. I live in Finland and we have plenty of rainy days and autumn is coming.. As far as I have only one car im going to use it daily but leave it home when its rainy and wet.. I don't wanna rust my Cossie since its 100% free of rust and in good shape. Perhaps im going to get 2nd car someday to do the daily driving and use my Cossie only in summertime though I have a 4x4 one.

Last Time, Get Off PF FFS
Use mine everyday and fill her with super unleaded. dont floor it into work which is 10 mile round trip so hardly use fuel really. hate it when i have to when the weather is shite and the car gets dirty though lol.

I've used mine practically every day since I got it in 2003. In that time it's never been able to win a concourse competition, lived outside in the British weather, and it's taken me literally thousands of miles (around 45,000).
It's been out in the snow and ice - drove all the way from Manchester to Norfolk in the snow a few years ago, and dodged a few falling branches in the Norfolk outback!
It's transported people, food, car parts, animals, tree stumps, and all sorts, and is still around to tell the tale. It's had a few little "consumable" problems in that time, but nothing unexpected (maybe with exception of the pattern fuel tank that shat its pants).
The driver's bolster was worn through when I got it, and it's still pretty much the same, the leather's not exactly top notch, and the boot carpet's missing. It's had one rear arch replaced, and the other's just starting to go now. The bumpers aren't straight (yes, both of them are wonky), the bonnet's a different shade of blue because it was painted next to a corn field, and the boot leaks in heavy rain.
But I love it to bits.

I don't use mine everyday but only for a couple of simple reasons.
1) Purposely didn't pay the extra on the insurance to have it covered for commuting, so while parked at work it's not technically insured.
2) Fuel prices - and I only use Shell Optimax so pricey!
3) It means I look forward to my days off and nice eves when I can take it out. Plus I don't get too used to the drive so it feels more special when I do. (hope that makes sense!)
But if I had the money, I would have 2. One to use everyday prob stage 1 or 2, and then a stage 3 or 4 one to use on the weekends.

I would but I think it would get stolen or damaged, I don't have anywhere secure to leave it during day to day business. Plus it woulden't be a "Show car" if I was to drive it everyday, coupled to the fact I am very protective about it haha, I don't want to worry.

Fortunately I have a company car, so the cossies are just for weekends etc
But when I do drive them the thrill is even better as not using them often
I`m sure I would enjoy them aily tho

Also use my 334bhp cossie daily
And if its not mine ill use another cossie in the workshop as cant beat the looks you get from if you are in a saph or 3door or even the escort cos
yes there is the fuel bill but when you push everything out the way with 550bhp its all worth it

I used my previous ones daily and they had their problems along the way but they are there for driving. The one thing that does happen when you use them daily though is that you can begin to get bored of them in a sense and they just become your regular mode of transport, and sometimes you feel like you may as well have a Mondeo. Mine is a second car now, when it actually works, and I prefer it that way as it still feels a bit special when you get in it after driving something "normal" for a week or so. Its been off the road for over 2 years now so when its back on the roads Ill probably use it daily again till the novelty wears off or it breaks
