It won't be the track rod scraping, you physically haven't got enough room for the wheel to turn that much, they do rub on the inner wing/chassis rail area on some cars, if just one side most likely the rack is not central, in adjustment, caused by fast fit idiots adjusting all on one side, so it will steer a tighter turning circle one way than the other.

Hi, it is the rod when on full lock when the wheel is turning into the car, it scrapes on the edge of the wheel and gets small amounts of swarf on it. I measured the rack and it seems central but will recheck today
