Default Best way to leak test intercooler and hose s

Any ideas on The best way to do this , was thinking of fitting an old bit of innertube with a valve on and fastening with a jubblee clip to the front end of the turbo as a way to get the air in , Not sure if this is the best way or not?
cheers

That sounds perfect. Maybe use a motorbike tube as it'll be more rigid. Decent bike pump will have a pressure guage too so you can pump up to certain pressure and listen for leaks.

Another way is to use a rubber block(cylindrical) about 2mm smaller than the inner bore, then drill through the centre, put a large(almost same size as rubber) metal plate either side, bolt through the lot, when tightened if using a soft rubber it will expand outwards sealing the end.
The end with the gauge simply use a bolt of the fine pitch as used in a std valve, drill hole down centre of bolt, this can be clamped like normal but lets you put air in at the same time.

if you can take it to your local dianostic garage get them to smoke check the inlet system that will pick up extreamly small air leaks
