Cheers guys

Was first time out in 5yrs for me and the car and only managed 3 good runs before the box gave up the ghost

Gearbox was a standard T5 that would not go into 3rd for sh*t (centralising spring was dead as well) Diff was a Gripper one on standard ratio's and tyres were some BFGoodridge ones Scotty lent me, were 225.55.15 and I ran them at 12psi to get grip, with a big burnout to get them nice and hot/sticky

Hope to get back out with a little more power (520-530ish), reliable boost control and the Tremec gearbox soon.

HTH

So basically, apart from the engine, you acheived those figures on a standard-ish car. Awsome result, shame the box paid the price.......well worth it in standard form IMO

Pretty much yea mate, If I can afford it I hope to get a proper beam in it to aid in traction as well but just one step at a time.
Worst part about the box was it was rebuilt just before the day and only lasted 140miles, lol

Not really a problem with lag on 1/4mile stuff as your always in the power band anyway.
Might sound silly but make sure you do not use track slicks as Harvey Gibbs when running his escort had track slicks (brakes too big for smaller more suited wheel/tyres for pod) and he was wheel spinning the first 3 gears as they are too hard, you want something with a softer sidewall.

Hmm....me thinks it received a good 140miles worth of epic abuse, hence its short life span

Still, its a hell of a time to work from. Are you thinking an SCS rear beam by any chance?

all differs by the looks of it, got some people who have done 12's on rwd stage 3 cars while others are in 13s with 400+bhp...

all depends on tyres and condition of diff, also what rpm to launch and gear changes, I was expecting someone to put up 12 seconds on a t3 but nothing as of yet lol!
