4x4 starter motor
Struggle getting a starter for my 4x4 saph. How hard are these 2 get? As my mechanic has had truble getting me the correct item.
Any1 allso had a problem? Or dose any1 have a part number?

20K+ Super Poster.
Not at all hard to get, but most only need brushes and a groove clean out anyway.
Don't pay over the odds, around £100 inc delivery for a brand new one, what's wrong with yours exactly ?

thanks lads, one got deliverd 2 day, well actualy 2 2day and 2 different ones in the week. sounds like the suplyer aint got a clue!!
The solinoid is sticking in the off position so some times works and some times dosent. moistly dosent
the lads are fitting it for me on monday. lets hope one of the 2 fit lol

Where this is, as is usually the case, the solenoid sticks due to the varnish wearing off of the bendix slide, the "piston" type device inside the main body of the solenoid.
To fix simply take apart, and using some old knackered 1000 grit wet and dry, rub the inside of the solenoid till the particles that have jammed up the piston are removed, clean up piston.
It's never failed for me in over 20 years.
