All through the year when its not off the road for any work. Spend a bit of time before winter to ensure underneath is clean and ready for the hard winter, but its worth it. As is the time spent cleaning after winter

cool good to hear a few people are using them everyday! im gutted i missed out on the snow in mine this year. seems a shame to leave them locked up and hardly use them though i can understand if its a high powered juice guzzler wouldnt be economical for everyday use. caused a bit of damage to mine when a driveshaft went 2 years ago in the snow and caught front subframe, then locked up and slid into a kerb bending rear beam, arm and hub! also some silly tart slid into the o/s and dented up both doors. though im planning to finish the work she needs before april next year and make it as reliable as poss then everyday car again!

Around 380HP as a general rule is the maximum for the 4x4 drive train.

Stage 2 isn't really heard of anymore as most go straight to 3 due to the minimal difference between the two, but then it does depend on what your conversion consisted of as it's not unified.

Stage 3 would be the next step and consists of a 3 BAR MAP sensor, Bosch 803's (Dark Green) or now days the preferred Siemens 55LB injectors and of course a ECU calibration (Remapped chip to suit this spec) -31 actuator a decent HG should also be installed.

At this stage some also uprate the turbo to a T34 item (Same as BT Escos) but with the smaller .48 exhaust housing and also uprate the intercooler to an RS500 style item, again depening on the tuner some also say change the exhaust and air filter but it's not neccesary.

This should give around 330 + HP and is enough for most people, it really all does depend on what you want from the car.

Again depends on what you want but if you buy one thats already tuned then you don't have to spend money doing so, then again as with any car of this breed you want to see receipts to verify who done the work as many of these cars are or have been bodged.

Martin
