the ab07 cam can be used without cutouts; cossie4i on here has one in his motor. its very similar to a bd14

but as said, EP will have an inlet cam on the market shortly

Just to dispel any myth that EP have any magic abilities cam wise, if you have enough lift you will need cutouts as simple as that, you can alter the duration by increasing it if you really need lower lift to avoid cutouts, but will run filthy owing to having more over lap with inlet/exhaust.
A regrind is a LOT better imo than a new virgin cam, as it has already been heat cycled, I have used regrinds for over 25 years without a single fauilure even on pinto engines.
Most cams are copies of other peoples profiles, me gf's astra is going to run a pinto profile cam in her little 1.4 ohc for example

No myths mate just a totally different cam than whats on the market and not a copy of anyone elses although mad do a very similar cam with very good power etc...
If you want a regrind i can supply you one for any spec.
If you want awesome low down torque and big power i have two very special profiles..

cheers danny

When you say similar but what is it similar to as my cam specs tend to change every 6 months with all the testing I do, and I must have 10 diff profiles to diff engine specs.

I think the doubles prevent 'valve bounce' IIRC.

We dont know exactly what each of us are using but from what youve achieved with your profiles and what im seeing with mine i can see they are making similar results so thats all i mean..
As for having different profiles well of course its not one fits all but to be fair id only use 3 profiles between 400 hp and 700 hp now as there isnt any other profiles i need anymore..

Bit confused now, rang Kent to order the cam an he said the cw7 needs adjustable lifters which are an extra 350 quid ! He recommended the bd10 instead as it uses normal lifters and doesn't need cutouts, isn't that almost the same as a standard cam ???
