hi all. going on from my conversion thread i am now thinking about poss strengthening my 4wd drivetrain. i have done 2 o/s engine mounts and 5 o/s driveshafts! noticed the gearbox mount has gone now too! i have just bought some collins mounts which were rather expensive but hopefully up to the job. any advice on this matter part wise/uprated parts would be much appreciated as im spending a fortune on breaking parts!! cheers guys

Ok mate you have a problem with your "offside". What are the symptoms?

the standard engines mounts kept breaking. also keep blowing o/s driveshafts. just bought a set of collins uprated mounts

ive heard the xr4x4 shafts are 10mm longer and are better

ggr do the uprated shafts for these ,i have them in mine and their is no problems with shafts .
if the car is lowered to much as ,it can also cause the shaft to pull out

i didnt think the offside shaft could just pull out as it has a large clip inside the diff holding it in?
