Nope, 3DR central locking is different in the way in that it only actuated from the drivers door, so Saph/Mk2 I am sure would be different but you may be able to adapt somehow.

I couldn't swear to it but think my old xr4i had solenoids as opposed to motors on the door lock, same as hatch, but get even more confused as I can remember when I fitted a cat 1 to the 4i that I just used a master motor on the drivers door!!

No, as all the MK1's had solenoids and the MK2's had motors, as I say the MK1 CL only operates from drivers door so that would be right what you are saying about the 4i, I think this also had a boot release inside the car.

Haven't got any piccies, but do know on many cars I have changed the whole lot over when having troubles to a universal kit to suit 4 door cars, buy mine from maplin etc around Ł25, not had a kit go wrong in 10+ years, and you get a spare motor on a 3 door as well, both front doors are masters as well then, useful if leaving gf/kid in car whilst you nip into shop etc as they can easily lock the doors to be safer.
Pretty easy to adapt as well to work the hatch motor.

Yes, they are solenoids whereas the Mk2 has motors.

Those in the piccie are most definitely not solenoids, they are motors, they weren't the same as my 4i, can't swear mine were correct though as didn't fit the original ones.

Well it's says there from 3DR so they are the right part regardless! I think ones for the passenger door and ones for the tailgate as I'm pretty sure MK1 never had a motor/solenoid on drivers door.

those are not from a 3dr cosworth, as said the passenger door and hatch are controlled by solonoids (they are round and actually look like electric motors) and the master control is on the drivers door on the 3dr - no pics sorry but those ebay ones are from a mk2 sierra or saff and no use on a standard 3dr

It's not beyond the realms of possibility for someone to lie to sell a part, ask the plank that just paid over Ł600 for a "RS500" gearbox in need of a rebuild!!
I'm 100% sure they are later items never fitted to the 3 door, personally wouldn't bother me if they worked I'd use them, but don't know if they will, and I doubt it round cylindrical ones are the correct kiddies, don't believe all you read in adds.

Oh fair enough my bad, I just hope the OP has read it so he doesn't buy them, the fact there is also two also tallied with being 3DR as I thought one for passenger door and one for hatch, sorry mate.

The round cylindrical ones mentioned by the guy above would make sense as i KNOW 100% the MK1's had solenoids opposed to motors and he also said this himself, never has MK1 so couldn't say what they look like.
