Is the front prop shaft on a 2.9V6 XR4x4 same as ones on a 4x4 Saph cossie?

the 'official' answer is no - the XR one is supposed to have a smaller diameter tube.
However, I got one from a breakers off a late (H-J) 2.0 XR4x4 which was identical to the cossie one, even down to the part number stamped on it.. So I guess you just need to have a look at it and see. They will 'fit' though, although I suppose the larger tube of the cossie one would make it stronger.

My mate had one fitted cos he was fed up with the Cossie ones snapping...his engine mounts had gone..altho it was no stronger,it did fit ok

I fitted one off an early xr4x4, this was a bit longer than the cossie one and is supposed to be better for cossies that have been lowered.

the larger tube one is also used on the 2.9i x4x estate car
as ive just fitted ont to my xr4x4 turbo rechnics car
