Default breather return

Going to get an aero fitting welded into my new bigwing sump.

Does it matter what level its welded in at ? does it have to be submerged in oil so it doesnt breathe back up the pipe ?

cheers paul

Doesn't matter which side, but needs to be returned in the oil itself ie not above otherwise it will act as a breather!!
The sump part of the sump takes 3.5 litres to fill to the top so it is just sitting on the shallow level, measured it a few days ago, 2" up from the base of the sump will be fine.
