Confused? Breather
After a fire I have to replace some of the hose/pipe in my engine, now I have a pipe that is black rigid plastic and quite wide, it is a single piece that comes from the back of the engine (injector side) it comes up and bends out over the injectors then next to the fuel regulator before bending round the front of the engine and then goes into the airbox.
In the workshop manual they call it the engine ventilation hose, but am I correct in saying this is what people call the breather pipe?
The engine is standard, and I am struggling to get this hose, what would people recommend to use instead and where to get?
cheers

20K+ Super Poster.
The std breather was good for emissions etc but a bit of a disaster in all other repsects.
The hose you mention is indeed the breather hose/pipe, ideally you don't want it, returning these fumes back to airbox to be re ingested by the engine, a decent breather kit is the way forward, easy diy for around £20.
