Im going to be changing my lifters and was wondering while im in the is it worth while changing the cam bearings?
Has any one changed them before ie; how hard to change.

i would change them just as a matter of course but its up to you really as longer as they are not Noisy they should be fine but they really are not that expensive not hard to change either as you will be taking the cams out anyway, as for the gasket it doesn't matter as long as you seal the half moon seals

I'd use a cometic r/c gasket, with as said sealing by the half moons.
When you use a cometic gasket fit in position, then trim the ends as needed, some can be a bit long where the ends are by the cam bearing housings, just need a slight trim sometimes.
As said bearings very easy to do, I wouldn't bother unless they are noisy, but I would replace cam seals with viton ones if not already, they're vastly better and around £9 each.

Oooooh! So you're supposed to trim them sticky outty thingies on the cometic cam cover gasket where they go in by the half moon seals!
They always mess up my sealant around the half moons when I put the cover back on, still got a weeping of oil! Dammit!!! Heard you should seal in behind the cam retainer t shaped thingies too

No need for sealant behind the retainers, on the outer of the bearing housing is a green o ring to stop oil going past it, and the cam seal stops any oil from the other part of it.
Did you put sealant under the cam carriers/caps, as oil can weep out the join between head and carrier.
I don't know if there is a "supposed" to trim on the cometic, just found I needed to for best fit, still leaves the tang under the half moon, just fits right after without being too long.

Burtons do them, and the centre spacers too. They wear against the seal sometimes so well worth checking for ridges... or the oil will soon get past the new seals ;-(
Look under engine components as I cant get a direct link...

The bearings are a std size and can be got from any bearing supplier, such as a SKF agent, just take along old ones, or measure first, inside outside width, they don't need to be heavy duty or anything as the load is not really noticed in bearing terms.
You'll end up with a number like 50-70-15(this is made up example), this is how std ball race bearings are sized as well as std type oil seals.
