a local tuner in my area has advised me to
remove my amal valve and plumb the vacum
direct
will this do any damage to my stg1 saff
any help/replies will be appreciated

Keep the amal valve on dude

the iginistion has control of cutting the boost incase something goes wrong

I would deffo keep the amal on a stage one

keep it as the ECU controls the amal valve and there the boost levels are keept at a safe level

if you run the hose directly to the actuator you run it low boost ALL the time!
the amal valve opens and let the compressed air "leak" into the airbox, see the boost pressure from the compressor, presses on the actuator and makes the wastegate open prematurly (Spelling...)

So don't run it directly from compressor to actuator. Mine was like this when I got my saff. It ran 0.6 bar or so, now with amal valve on it runs 0.9bar std.

mine ran an amal valve at 34 psi!this helped it peak high then drop back!418 bhp 409 lb/ft,cant argue with it!
