Default what engine oil

Hi guys i'm gonna do an oil change on my saff in the next few days what are peoples recommendations on oil grade and manufacture and is it best to use a ford oil filter?
I was looking at using the silkolene pro s 5w40!!!!!(opie oils £44.99 for 5L)
my saff is 2wd 200 block t34, 500 cooler 3bar map and greens norris chip around 330bhp i recon it's not a daily driver running 18psi i think haven't drivin it for nearly six months.

thanks for any tips,
Phil

We find the Sikoleen Pro S 10w-50 most popular and would be ideal http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-659-10w-50.aspx

Cheers

If you'd cut open some new off the shelf ford oil filters and seen the rust I saw you might reconsider.

Just looked inside as much as you can(without chopping lol), tbh mine seems ok inside no rust. If there is it must be on the outside of the centre piece. Its dated 04/06/09 so its not sat for years

+1

I use Mobil 1 5W50 for quick lubrication on start up and high temp safety.

5W50 also used to be what Ford specified for the YB.
