just been offered a 2000e
just been offered a sierra saph 2000e for £250, no tax or mot.
bad points i noticed:
both driver side doors are in need of replacing, or alot of cutting and filling etc lol. due to rust holes, and a key mark(like it makes a diff)
bonnet has a couple of scabs at front.
laqure flaking in 2 small parts on passenger side doors.
driver seat in poor condition.
flat tire lol(been sat a while)
good points:
70k on clock,
seems a good engine (but needs a service)
is ghia model(not sure if all 2000e's are)
grey leather interior.
paint seems ok mostly, silverish blue.
guys, need advice, been told these are getting rare and that is the LOWEST price he will take, can get it 2morrow but is that cheap?
i want it as my new project, my friend is buying my escort so will have the money from that to buy it with.
whats the best way of getting power from that engine?
info asap would be GREAT, thanks in advance
also, does the mk1 face fit on the mk2?

the 2000e was based on the ghia but all came with full grey leather and air conditioning ,1990 onward ones also came with rear disc brakes there are becoming rare in standard form because they are the perfect base for a copy, replica as they have all the extras that the cosworth came with.best way to get more out of the engine is to not bother you can go with filter, exhaurst and can be chipped but dont expect alot. well worth £250 as on ebay they bring that for a totaly shagged one

ive got a 2000e cossie rep, with tubular manifolds, full exhaust, k&n panel filter, didnt make to much difference as my mates standard sierra gt pissed on it, both dohc efi.
The boa v6 is easier to get working in a sierra, although the bob is a better, more powerful engine it needs alot more work to get workin in a sierra.

if you look on http://forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk/ there are some good articles on there. You can cossie v6 it, or do a 2.3 conversion that gets quite good results.

I have had my sierra sapphire 2000E ("Dave") for 4 years now (it is a G reg) and he has never let me down. Last year some idiot crashed into us from a side street and the insurance company wanted to have it written off but i refused and after a fair bit of work, (small welding to chassis and new front bumper and lights) it is almost as good as new. I drive it to and from London 4 days a week (an 80 mile round trip) and it just keeps going and going. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Bodywork is still brilliant too.

i now have front and rear rs accessories kit on, and have some modified skirts to go on. currently looks like this, (but cleaner)
much better i think you'll all agree
