Default 2WD Idle screw

Has anybody got a spare 2wd idle adjustment screw or know where i can get one from?

Was messing with mine on the 3dr today and must not have tightened the retaining nut enough, its vibrated out in transit! DOH!!

If not anyone know what thread it is, or if any other fords have the same screw? (maybe get some threaded bar to fit or a nother screw from something else, even the finis code for fords etc)

I cant drive my car without one (even though its not the right weather to be driving it anyways!)

Not the Co2 screw mate, the one under the throttle body that controls the base idle

Could be mate? Do people think that some M5 threaded bar or m5 bolt with an appropriate locking nut would do the job?

Sorry if this sounds a bit thick, apparently they do sell them at Graham goode, but they want £15 for a small screw, seems a tad expensive?

Thats so expensive for what it is!! how they can justify £34 for a small piece of threaded bar i dont know.

Anyone got one knocking round? Bet i've had a few knocking about in my time, typical i've "de-cluttered" my garage of late! Big mistake that was!

GGR have probably had them made as they weren't available from Ford, you had to buy a complete throttle body (enquired a few years ago)

I didn't realise this falling out was so common, the price from GGR is very OTT, as not that costly to have made even as a small batch.
Not sure on the thread but assume it will be a fine thread, so shouldn't be that hard to get a bolt and file a taper on it as needed.
If you put plastiscene on the threads it will stop it vibrating loose in future.

Not so much common, but simply a mistake while trying to do a lot of things at once. That kinda got forgotten

Still havent had time to fit it yet, its always dark when i finally get from work Am half day friday so will give it a go then.

If it works i should start up a business making them on the cheap , sounds like i'd do well, think quite a few people have lost them

Had a go with my "home made" screw today - unfortunately it didnt work

Thread size was way off on the one i made, had a look around the garage and through the process of elimination (and trial and error) found the thread is the same as a temperature sensor (i had an old one in one of my junk pots) However there's not enough length on that

So its looking like i'm going to have to buy the real deal at the stupidly high price at this rate
