Default NEED advice

Recently I had my saff put on to fully synthetic oil, as soon as i did this, the car started smoking badly.

I changed the oil back to semi but the car is still a bit smoky and its pushing a dark creamy couloured gunk out the little filter on top of the oil breather

The car does however run beautifully and theres no crap under the oil filler cap???

Any suggestions?

Much appreciated

When a turbo car starts puffing out smoke badly it can mean the turbo is knackered, or the rings are fooked

just by changing oil shouldn't give you the problems you,re having

when does the car smoke? on idle, when flooring it? etc

When the car was on the fully synthetic it smoked a tiny tiny bit on idle but not all the time. Then quite heavily on over run

Now its back on semi, it puffs a little on initial acceleration then quit badly on over run but not as badly as when it was on fully synth(last owner said the turbo was nearly brand new)

I'm hoping its just the turbo but i think it may be the rings

Would either of these problems be the cause of the oil coming up through the breather filter?

Thanks for the reply

Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w50 should not give you issues. loads of people use it to good effect.
Make sure it wasn't 0w40 Mobil 1 as that would be too thin.
