best to check between the front and rear numberplates

Faves are the spare wheel well, rears of the sill, rear chassis legs, seat mounts, rear beam mounts

Nae worries, most of it has been covered above (chassis rails at rear where springs sit, sills, front struts, boot), but personally if i ever bought another saph i'd be asking to lift the carpets at the front footwell on both sides, 5 minute job and i guarantee 80% of cars will have rot/hole where the weld seam runs accross the floor, even if the rest of the car seems ok, it's right where the jacking point is underneath so these always get damaged and water gets in which rusts a big hole if left alone. What kind of saph are you looking for, i know of a couple for sale locally, but they're not mint.

I've been doing this the past week and found lots of little holes and some not so little.

My bit to add is pull off the window rubbers. Also open the doors, get on your knees and look and the bottom where the seam is welded. Especially near the front of the door's bottom. Luckily this is and easy fix with some rust paints on the inside and some die grinding and resealing it.
