Default Heated Windscreen...

The windscreen in my Sapphire must've been replaced as it does not have the tiny heating element wires running through it.

Anyway, I am trying to tidy up the wiring in the engine bay while the engine is out and the wires for the heated windscreen are going to get taken out.

Behind the battery, at about the same height, in the firewall is a hole with a few wires. Red, Black Purple x 2 and Brown x 2.

All of these are just used for the Windscreen, yeah?

I have found a relay on the inside of the car with Black/Yellow, Brown, Red and Black/Purple wires going into it. This is strictly for the Windsrceen too?

I have done a search here for wiring diagrams, but cannot find anything related that is of use...unless i'm overlooking something.

The heated front screen loom is basically an add-on to the car loom. Other than the battery connections, there is a 2-way (IIRC) multiplug you can unplug behind the dash to remove the loom, relays, and on/off switch.

Why don't you just replace the old one with a new heated one?
